Book Ed as a Speaker

It’s time to ask one simple question:  Why aren’t the causes and consequences of mortgage fraud openly discussed by the real estate industry?

Mortgage fraud is a complicated issue that presents a spectrum of societal challenges in the form of financial costs and human suffering.

Consider these points:

  • Industry leaders express concern without revealing a concise and cohesive strategy to combat the epidemic.
  • The U.S. Justice Department continues a misguided agenda of prosecuting mostly notorious fraudsters in metropolitan areas.
  • State and local authorities often recognize the existence of a problem, but lack the resources to confront this sophisticated form of theft.
  • As a matter of public policy, the causation factors that result in a breakdown of protocol in real estate transactions are either misunderstood or conveniently ignored.

Fairfax1-1.jpgPrior to being convicted for postal fraud, Ed Rybczynski was a licensed title agent and the owner of a title company.  Today, Ed is a highly regarded public speaker who travels nationally to give presentations to groups of title agents, corporate executives, mortgage brokers, elected officials, and other concerned groups.  During a two hour presentation, Ed speaks candidly about his role in a well publicized-flipping scheme that resulted in his imprisonment in a federal prison camp.  Ed’s message is that fraud prevention can only be accomplished through personal accountability, ”principled” decision making, and responsible corporate citizenship.

What people are saying!

“I wanted to thank Ed for recently speaking at several First American Agency Seminars as well as taking time out of his busy schedule to address our claims handlers at our National Claims Meeting in Santa Ana, California.  Ed is a very dynamic and convincing speaker. Ed has a very powerful message for our profession and he delivers it in an honest and down to earth manner that manages to captivate his audience. His presentation consistently leaves his audience in a state of shock at how easy it is to succumb to the daily pressures of this business and the potential outcome of those pressures.
